The world of AI is advancing at a breakneck pace! Today, we’ll see OpenAI’s grand vision for Sora and learn how OpenRouter is solving the headache of inconsistent performance among large language model (LLM) providers. Meanwhile, Claude’s desktop app is now officially available, Grok Imagine brings amazing video upscaling features, and the Gemini CLI has received a major update.
Grok Imagine Introduces Video Super-Resolution, Upgrade to HD with One Click
Have you ever felt that the resolution of AI-generated videos is not high enough, always looking a bit blurry? Now, Grok Imagine has a great solution.
They have just launched a new “Video Super-Resolution” feature. Users can now upgrade the videos generated by Grok Imagine to high definition (HD) quality with just one click. The most surprising thing is its speed—the whole process takes less than 10 seconds. This is undoubtedly a great boon for creators who pursue video quality and efficiency.
Inconsistent Performance from LLM Providers? OpenRouter Ends Your Choice Paralysis with Exacto
This is something that all developers can relate to. In theory, when different providers run the same large language model, their performance should be the same. But the reality is that due to various complex technical details, the results are often very different, especially in the accuracy of “tool calling.”
Tool calling, simply put, is the action when an AI needs to use an external tool or function to complete a task, such as checking the weather, calculating stock prices, etc. If this part goes wrong, the entire application flow may be interrupted.
OpenRouter’s Unique Perspective and Challenges
OpenRouter processes billions of requests from around the world every month, which puts them in a unique position to clearly observe the subtle differences between different providers. They found that even for the same model, there are significant gaps in the success rate and tendency of tool calling.
To ensure that users can get a stable, high-quality experience, they decided to take action.
What is Exacto? A Solution Born for Precision
To solve this problem, OpenRouter has launched a new set of endpoints called “Exacto.”
This is not a new model, but an intelligent routing system. When you use the Exacto endpoint, your request will be automatically routed to a strictly selected subgroup of providers. These providers are top performers in the following three aspects:
- Highest accuracy in tool calling
- Tool calling tendency is within the normal range (does not call tools excessively or too little)
- Least ignored or blocked by users
This filtering mechanism combines OpenRouter’s internal telemetry data, user preference data, and public benchmarks like Groq OpenBench to ensure that the routing result is the best choice.
According to OpenRouter’s tests, taking the Kimi K2 model as an example, after using the Exacto endpoint, the tool calling success rate in the LiveMCPBench benchmark increased by about 30%, and in the Tau2Bench test, it also increased by about 9%. This is a huge improvement for all developers who rely on agentic workflows for complex tasks.

Claude Desktop Version is Officially Launched, Mac Users Get New Features
Good news! Anthropic’s AI assistant, Claude, has now officially launched a desktop application, allowing users to interact with AI more smoothly on their computers.
Especially for Mac users, this update brings several killer features:
- Screenshot: You can directly take a screenshot of the screen and let Claude understand the image content.
- Click on a window to share context: Click on any application window to immediately share the content of that window with Claude as background information for the conversation.
- Voice conversation: Press the
Caps Lockkey to have a voice conversation with Claude directly, completely freeing your hands.
This transforms Claude from a web tool into a more deeply integrated desktop-level productivity partner in the daily workflow.

Gemini CLI v0.10.0 Released, Developer Experience Upgraded Again
Google’s Gemini Command Line Interface (CLI) has also released version v0.10.0. This update focuses on polishing existing features and fixing bugs to make the developer experience smoother.
Several main highlights of this release include:
- Interactive tool calling: Gemini CLI can now execute tools that require user interaction, increasing the flexibility of applications.
- Alt key support: Allows more users of different terminals to smoothly use the
Alt+keyshortcut combination. - Telemetry data tracking: Can track the changes in the number of lines of code caused by models and users in file operations, which is convenient for analysis and tuning.
In addition, there are a large number of minor feature updates, UI optimizations, and bug fixes, making the entire tool more stable and reliable.

OpenAI Announces Sora’s Roadmap, Creator Tools and Community Features are Coming Soon
Since Sora’s release, everyone has been shocked by its powerful text-to-video capabilities and curious about what’s next. Today, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman personally unveiled Sora’s recent development roadmap.
Future updates will revolve around four core areas:
More powerful creation tools:
- Character Cameos: Coming in a few days! You can have your pet dog, guinea pig, or even a stuffed animal make a “cameo” in the video. You can also create characters directly from videos generated by Sora.
- Video editing features: Will start with the most basic “splicing multiple clips” and will add more powerful editing features in the future.
A closer community experience:
- Explore new ways to use Sora with friends and communities (such as universities, companies, sports clubs, etc.) in addition to the global feed.
Quality and experience optimization:
- Continuously improve the content recommendation of the feed.
- Reduce excessive moderation of generated content (they know it’s annoying).
- Improve the overall performance of the app to make it more responsive.
Android version is coming soon:
- That’s right, the long-awaited Android version is “really coming soon.”
From this roadmap, it can be seen that OpenAI not only wants to make Sora a powerful tool, but also hopes to build a vibrant creator community around it.
